I spent my entire life working with the deaf and hard of hearing. 40 years of that in my own hearing aid practice. It’s been a wonderful life to help people find new meaning for their lives. The John Hopkins University School of Medicine states that many health problems are related to hearing loss. The more hearing loss one has, the greater the chance of developing Dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. The Hopkins report goes on to say that Hearing aids could delay or prevent these problems. Some of the other problems that hearing loss can cause is loneliness, isolation and depression. If you have a hearing loss, get an evaluation right away. Don’t put it off any longer.
